Campaign treasury aids teen in Connecticut district race
Campaign funds totaling 3842 dollars were allowed by the Federal Election Commission to be used for the education of 16 year old John Sherwin from the Naugatuck Valley region. Professor Vincent Carrasiello, a University of Connecticut business professor and former Democratic candidate, described the valley as industrious yet hard hit by factory shutdowns. He said the youth’s situation echoed Bruce Springsteen lyrics about ordinary people facing hardship.
