County legislature approves Everson funding amid controversy
The County Legislature unanimously kept 1973 Everson Museum funding at 104000 with plans to release mid January. A rival resolution to withhold funds pending an exhibit controversy probe failed, while a broader review of funding for 15 agencies was withdrawn. Trustees defended policy independence as debate centered on past exhibits and community trust.
