Mixed teams event at Bardmoor crowns Kite and Daniel
Kite and Daniel won the sixth annual mixed teams event at Bardmoor Country Club with a final round 70 to hold off Vance Heafner and Cathy Morse. Heafner and Morse surged from fifth place to near the leaders with nine birdies aided by Morse’s long putts. Forty-eight teams competed on the 7015 yard course as Heafner joined Morse after Halderson withdrew, delivering a late rally that nearly overturned the leaders.
