Guard Officers See Air Base Facilities
New York State Bureau of Aviation reports a tour of the Mattydate air base by guard officers. They will confer with Commissioner William A. Barry and Lt Col W C Freudenthal about cost and operation of the airport for National Guard use. The 188th Fighter Squadron and 270 guardsmen from Albany arrived late due to poor weather to discuss procurement, disbursement, and guarding operations with the Third Regiment and airport engineer SC Murray.
