Lt Nelson, 24, of 80 Steward Ave Solvay, was killed in Korea. He was a West Point graduate and Syracuse University attendee, married with a nine month old daughter Kathleen. Survived by his parents and two brothers Thomas at West Point and Ola. Concluded on Page 6, Column 2.
The New York Court of Appeals revoked the bail of ten American Communist leaders convicted of conspiring to advocate the violent overthrow of the government. The high court, by a 12 to 1 vote, upheld their convictions and the Smith Act. Bail relief was denied while they pursue a Supreme Court appeal.

A two story house in Biddeford burned early today killing Susanne Baillargeon age 2, her grandmother Mary Prourde 74, and cousin Wililiara Doucette. Fire officials concluded the blaze started in the living room and spread rapidly trapping the trio.
