Wildfire in Oregon Grows to Five Thousand Acres

In Sams Valley Oregon a stubborn wildfire expanded to about 5000 acres roaring through a canyon and destroying six homes. Residents fled Ramsey Canyon as flames loomed over around 20 homes and a caravan of vehicles moved out. Across five Western states fire crews battled 28 major fires that have burned nearly 368000 acres per the National Interagency Fire Center.
