Man Drowns in Fish Creek After Car Plunges In
A 54 year old Camden man Walter Turk of Empery Avenue drowned when his car swerved off Higginsville Road and into Fish Creek near Sylvan Beach. Witnesses watched as Turk emerged on the car roof and attempted to swim to shore but disappeared underwater about 30 feet from land. State police divers recovered the body at about 9 a.m. Turk was returning from a night janitorial job.
