Texas oilman fights to save black rhinoceros in Texas
Glen Rose oilman Tom Mantzel leads a 1500 acre refuge housing endangered wildlife including Grevy's zebra and several deer species. The African Fund for Endangered Wildlife funds a Sept 18 barbecue to raise $100,000 to import two to four rhino pairs from Africa. Mantzel aims to breed rhinos and sell offspring to zoos, a project costing over $100,000 with a multi year horizon.
