In Dallas on Saturday the Knee-Skirt Club staged a protest parade with women in long skirts, banners attacking fashion’s decree, an ex-soldier speaker backing it, and about 2,000 supporters including many women and sympathetic men.
Miss Truman draws a large Hollywood crowd two hours before her debut performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Margaret Truman, 23, sings as soprano soloist in a program expected to attract about 15 000 fans. Her manager says she is not nervous and will handle makeup and dress personally.
