In Orlando Florida Joseph Bass Wright was found guilty after victims testified of robbery violence and terror on the tourist strip. A Miami woman heard a click as he fired a pistol and a Minnesota student froze during the ordeal while a mother was tied and threatened. The judge imposed a 615 year prison term.

Fast-growing trees offer fuel and climate help
Researchers at the State University College of Environmental Science and Forestry grow hybrid willows and poplars 10 to 20 times faster than native trees. Wood chips from Heiberg Forest in Tully have been sold for fuel to Disney World and others. Though not cheaper than coal or gas yet, these fast-growing trees could become economical as fossil fuels grow scarcer, aiding short-term greenhouse mitigation through dense plantings.
