Three Rochester residents were charged with kidnapping and first degree robbery in the abduction of Deniece Russo, 22, on Montgomery Street. A fourth suspect remained sought as detectives pursued recovery of jewelry and cash. Russo, uninjured, was released near Thruway Exit 39 after a 30 minute car ride.

Montezuma Woman Fatally Beaten in Trailer Slaying
State police search for motive in the death of Lori Foster 22 found beaten in her Montezuma trailer on Route 90 at 4 a.m. Richard Courtney 29 of High Street was charged with second degree murder. Foster bled internally from a chest injury likely caused by a bare fist. Courtney held without bail as the case heads to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing. Foster’s daughter Bridgette, 2, was asleep nearby. Neighbors recalled Courtney and Foster as friends, not intimate. Six Airbnb residents left homeless by suspicious blaze
Two fires of suspicious origin broke out last night and early today. At 1507 N Salina St a seven unit building sustained extensive damage to upper floors and roof after a blaze began in a third floor apartment. Six people homeless include Michele Schetl and her two sons and several others. An investigation into the cause is underway. A second fire at the Brown Carp factory on 11 Bellevue Ave was also listed as suspicious and fully involved the structure, with no injuries reported and crews remaining on scene to extinguish hot spots.
