A North Salina Street home blaze early Friday left Rena Hines 12 dead with three Massey girls, Lena Ferguson 6 Paula Massey 10 and Mary Massey 11, in a second floor bedroom. Aunt Pat Hines 38 and Jim Massey 43 escaped. Firefighters arrived at 5:08 am and the fire was controlled within 55 minutes. Investigators cited a blocked stairway and suspect the fire began near the living room television and radio.
