Traffic Cop and Four Others Injured in City Accidents
Five men were injured in separate auto crashes last night and today. Solvay Patrolman Peter Dadley, 45, was cut on the forehead and hurt his leg after a collision at Woods Road and Milton Avenue during a heavy rainstorm while directing traffic. He was treated and given days off. The driver, Joseph E. Bennett, said he failed to see the officer due to the rain and fogged windshield. Another victim, George Burt, 37, from Manlius, suffered head injuries and lacerations after being thrown from his out of control car at Seneca Turnpike and Watervale Road and was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital. Deputy Aldo Mevell said Burt fell asleep at the wheel. Noel Hickok, 33, of Camden, and Daniel Case, 32, of Kirkville, were hurt in a two car crash at Kinne Street and Franklin Park Drive when John J. Sutton, 28, of Minoa, hit Hickok’s car. Sutton was cited for a stop sign violation. Donald Burdick, 38, of Hannibal, riding with Kenneth Richards, 33, Fulton, fractured his nose after their car went into a ditch at Wetzel and Morgan Roads in fog.

Two Narcotics Defendants Sentenced in Police Court
In Onondaga County Penitentiary terms totaling 15 months, two of four arraigned narcotics suspects were sentenced.
