McCorvey's shift to antiabortion movement shocks few
Norma McCorvey or Pixie as friends call her has moved from public abortion rights icon to new ally of Operation Rescue. She has quarreled with leaders, faced pressure from activists, and spoken in interviews about her faith, while her partner Connie Gonzales and others warn of manipulation by the religious right. Buckled into a Dallas baptism, she says she still supports some abortion access but aligns with Christian rescue causes.
