Kayo station offers unusually cheap gas in Onondaga County

At the Kayo station at Molloy and Thompson Roads unleaded gas sells for 88.9 cents and regular for 84.9 cents while most stations top $1. A Conoco spokesman says prices follow government approved exchange agreements, with the cash only self service model keeping costs low. Station open from 8 a.m. until its daily allocation runs out, details on allocation kept confidential.

New York plans ban on new nuclear plants in state

New York energy chief James Larocca unveiled an ambitious blueprint calling for banning any new nuclear plants in the state. The plan promotes coal and natural gas, boosts renewable resources, and forecasts annual electricity savings of 1.5 billion dollars with 540 million barrels of oil saved over 15 years. Scotch may contain cancer-causing nitrosamines study
