German war communique details enemy shipping losses from July 3 to 31, including 343,174 tons sunk by submarines and 13,500 tons by surface ships. Reports air attacks on English ports, minor property damage, no deaths, and cumulative merchant shipping losses since the outbreak of war approaching 1.5 million tons.
