FBI foils $7.5M art ransom plot at Hill-Stead Museum
FBI agent infiltrated a four-man scheme to rob the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington. The plan targeted Monet Manet Degas Whistler works worth $25 million, with a $7.5 million ransom and shredding threats. Three Connecticut and Florida suspects were charged while two Rubens paintings were recovered in Florida.
