Rare bird sightings and county recycling trends report
The Onondaga Audubon Society notes two Henslow's sparrows seen and another heard in Mexico town on July 27 with a July 25 sighting at Sandy Pond showing about 120 shore birds. In Rock Cut Road, Onondaga County, 6,088 tons of trash were burned last week, up from 5,730 the prior year. by June, 14,438 tons of recyclables were processed under the county program, down from May's 15,049 tons.
