Nobody's Perfekt review slams uneven film ensemble
A critic rips Nobody's Perfekt as unfocused and unfunny, noting Gabe Kaplan and co stars fail to sustain a 100 minute film. Describes memory lapses, schizophrenic bits, plotting hijinks with a stolen cannon, a hijacked armored car subplot, and lackluster pacing.

Victory Synthesizes old formula with tense ensemble play
The film blends familiar prison camp action with a soccer siege plot, pitting Nazis against Allies in a staged football match. Michael Caine leads as Colby with Max von Sydow as a principled German officer, while Sylvester Stallone and others inject rugged, suspenseful energy amid a stadium finale that strains plausibility.

Have a Picnic! Trio Delivers Mixed Jazz Classical Fusion
At the Civic Center a full house heard Jean-Pierre Rampal Claude Bolling and Alexandre Lagoya with sidemen. Bolling blends classical titles with jazz forms in pieces like Picnic Suite while Rampal and Lagoya contributed some authentic performance, though the evening favored Bolling’s originality and the finale's five time flute theme with jazzy interruptions. The show mixed genuine jazz with orchestrated posturing and left the audience both energized and critical.
