In Harrisburg Pennsylvania eleven attendees of a state American Legion convention died after falling ill. The deaths prompted investigations and tributes as officials reviewed the outbreak and the convention’s proceedings.
The New York lottery restarts refund sales for three drawings postponed last fall. Ticket holders may exchange Oct 30 Oct 31 and Nov 6 tickets at specified outlets for a full 50 cent refund per ticket. About 600 outlets, including Tops Supermarkets and Price Chopper, will offer refunds, as delays stemmed from court fights.
