Students faked raffle tickets tied to CNS soccer team

Two 17 year old CNS sophomores, one of them a team member, were charged with petty larceny after selling fake raffle tickets to raise money. Police said the yellow two dollar tickets were actually coupons and the plan involved a May 1 court appearance. They admitted making tickets on a home computer and went door to door in the Dominion Park area and Tirrell Hill in Liverpool, selling about 20 to 30 tickets. A classmate identified one defendant, leading to police involvement and appearance tickets for May 1.
