Father Fights Shark That Amputated Daughter on Mustang Island
April Dawn Voglino, 16, was attacked in the Gulf of Mexico off Mustang Island as her father Robert Nogimo tried to fend off a five-foot shark. The shark severed her forearm above the elbow, necessitating surgery and amputation of the bone fragment. Voglino remained in fair condition at Memorial Medical Center.
