Gov Mario Cuomo and wife Matilda reported 1988 income about $520000 including $150050 in speaking and writing fees and a Queens home sale profit. They paid federal, state and New York City taxes totaling $169160, about 32.5 percent of income. The Cuomos have extra time to file this year.
Police hunt Ramon Salcido 28 after a savage spree in Sonoma County that left his wife and three relatives dead and two sisters-in-law assaulted. He reportedly abducted his three young daughters Teresa 2 Carmina 3 and Soha 4. An all points bulletin and helicopters scoured the 60 mile region as Salcido fled in a brown Ford sedan with the children, with authorities fearing the girls are in grave danger.
