Racist threats target University of Iowa students
Police report racist e mails and threats sent under the name MinorityAid and MinorityRid to University of Iowa students since March 28. A note with a plate of red noodles and reference to black man's brains sparked fear as students rallied with administrators and city residents. Dental students receive security advisories while the university investigates leads amid a 161 percent minority enrollment in the dental college and a nearly 29,000 student campus with broad minority representation.
