Husband charged with abducting wife in New York
A 20-year-old Rochester man, Donald Crook, abducted his common-law wife Linda Higgins and hid at a Herkimer motel with a sawed-off shotgun after she escaped at a rest stop on the New York Thruway. Police used a ruse to arrest him at 4:45 a.m. without incident. Higgins fled to safety, leaving her two-year-old unharmed.

Three Camillus Teens Die In High Speed Crash
