Namibian clashes rage across a northern strip near the Angolan border as guerrillas, police, and South African troops endure some of the fiercest fighting of the 23 year independence war. Authorities report at least 128 guerrillas and 18 policemen killed over four days, with civilians feared dead and a fragile ceasefire talked but not secured.
