SATECRACKERS struck last night in Syracuse and Chittenango stealing about $1,000 from two businesses. The Canada Dry Bottling Co. on Erie Boulevard West and W. L Tyler & Sons Chittenango furnishings store were hit. About $500 was missing from the Chittenango safe. the bottling plant safe held $900 in cash and checks. A three foot high safe was rolled 100 feet and opened with a toolkit found at the plant. The break was discovered between midnight and 1 AM by Joseph Madie and investigated by Patrolman Stewart Heller. Tyler and Betty Perkins alerted State Police at Oneida. Door and lining were blown off.
