Red Cross Campaign Tops Swarthmore Pledge Drive
Swarthmore residents helped raise the national fund with the slogan a dollar for every resident. The campaign chair Mr Foote and committee members led volunteers to a total of about twenty seven hundred dollars by Monday night. Mrs Cookman, branch president, inspired all. donors included Emmons over eight hundred, Foote about five hundred, and Clara Barton Auxiliary with 152.92 from sale and dance at the Woman’s Club House. A telegram from Richard E Wilson extended congratulations and thanks to all workers.
