Women service flag at St College and agricultural training

A damaged wartime notice from Pennsylvan State College mentions a five flag with about 650 names and a college class marked on it. It notes 45 faculty members and emphasizes recruiting for agricultural work to increase food production and support the war effort.

Dr William Z Ellis, recently back from Europe and the Western Front, spoke to a packed Woman's Club House in Swarthmore. The audience’s enthusiastic response matched the speaker’s wartime experiences and uniformed appearance with gas mask.

Juniors Stage A Mid-Summer Night's Dream at Mary Lyon School

Mary Lyon school juniors presented A Mid-Summer Night's Dream on Monday evening. Seniors will perform Pomander Walk outdoors at four, followed by a Glee Club concert at 8:30, with commencement exercises on the evening of June 14.
