Golf Associates entertain visitors from several clubs
The President of Golf Associates hosted a large gathering of golfers from Bacchus Marsh Melton Valley Northern Royal Park and Medway. After a 12 hole stroke event afternoon tea in the decorated club house followed with awards for stableford and eclectic results and a return visit to Bacchus Marsh.

At Medway Golf Club on Wednesday the Associates 4 ball best ball was won by Mrs C Grieves and Mrs W Curnow, 65 nett. A whole stableford on Saturday was won by Mrs R Gibson with 18 points. Weekend clubs saw A K E Ford and visitor R Walker win the 4 bad bent ball by 6 up on count back. Mixed foursomes: A Division R Dunn and Mrs A Clarke 70-12,664. R Diy P Stead and Mrs TL Snadden 88-27,61. Putting won by Mr and Mrs Brien with 27 putts. Men's Bogey top tie J Cuffe (13) and K Ross (23), 1 down.

Sunshine Community Hospital Names New President at Annual Meeting
Dr A G Pennell was appointed president of Sunshine Community Hospital at the annual meeting held Tuesday evening. New officers include Vice President Dr T R Barclay and Treasurer Mr A J Grimshaw. Secretary position remains vacant with Warnock and W Singleton added to the committee. A vote of thanks thanked the Ladies Auxiliary and Loan Redemption Committee for amenities and reducing debt. Apologies from Dr A E Shepherd MLA and Shire President Dr G Ky Dobson. Mrs Dobson represented her husband.

On Saturday September 30 at pm Mr R V Smith of Footscray shows films on European relief at the Methodist Hall with no charge but an offering for the cause. The Methodist Young People's Tea on Sunday October 1 features Rev W Betts of Fitzroy. tea at 4 45 pm and ends early to let attendees go to their own church.
