Death of Well-known Citizen Ernest Nayler of Sunshine

The death of Mr Ernest Nayler aged 50, longtime H V McKay worker, foreman and public spirit, shocks Sunshine. He served as former Sunshine Football Club president and on multiple committees, supported child welfare, and helped build playgrounds. Funeral at Fawkner Crematorium with large attendance. Survived by widow, son Jack, and daughter Mrs T Gardiner. Ernest W Jackson & Son of Williamstown handled arrangements.

Sunshine church wedding for Patricia Tyson and Eric McKenzie

Miss Patricia Elizabeth Tyson and Mr Eric Edward McKenzie wed at Sunshine Presbyterian Church on September 23, celebrated by Rev. F. Sadler. The bride wore a lace gown over satin with a long embroidered veil, carried a sweet pea and hyacinth bouquet, and was attended by two bridesmaids and a flowergirl. Best and groomsmen included Murray Hutchinson and Bern Doherty. A 120-guest reception followed at the Masonic Hall. The couple then left for a Sydney honeymoon in a blue suit with plum accessories.
