Man Risked Life To Cross Rail At Sunshine Station
George Albert Ennis faced Sunshine Court after crossing a railway line at an unauthorised place and riding in a first class carriage with a second class ticket. Train driver Aubrey Lee testified he narrowly avoided a crash as a man leapt onto tracks and was helped to the platform. Ennis was fined £3 for crossing and £1 for ticket offences with costs of 10 shillings in each case. The bench praised the driver’s prompt action.

Braybrook Shire President elected for twelve months
Cr. T. R. Barclay was unanimously elected on Monday as President of the Shire of Braybrook for the coming year. It is his second term and he pledged to continue orderly municipal affairs while noting an increased presidential allowance to 800. Dr. Pennell presided earlier and Cr. Barclay thanked the council for support as new councillors were welcomed.
