The Shire of Braybrook Ladies Benevolent Society held its annual meeting at the Ice Hall on September 10. Cr T R B relay chaired. Dr M B Lynch and delegates from Vic Assoc attended. President G Dobson urged ongoing support as needs may arise. 12 adults and 14 children were assisted in the last year, with £15 7s expended and £52 4s 0d in balance. Election results listed officers and delegates. tea was served and notices given for the Vic Assoc meeting on October 3 at the Mutual.

Move to rescind Sunday Sport By Law in Braybrook
Braybrook Shire Council will consider rescinding the Sunday Sport By Law at the next meeting. Cr ROK McIondal said he will move a notice of motion and each application will be treated on its merits. Earlier permission was given for a Pleasant Sunday Afternoon at Maribyrnong Reserve on Sunday 28 September with sports exhibitions for Miss Leckie fundraising.

Parking Arrangements at Maribyrnong Speedway Ride Out Dispute
Braybrook Council Speedway Company and Maribyrnong RSL clash over season parking. A conference urged renewing last year’s setup but council on Monday voted to require a full report at the next meeting. Councilors think the council could run the parking program itself. Last year the Speedway Company and RSL shared proceeds with labor supplied by the sub-branch.
