In Sunshine Court on Tuesday Harold Thornton and Charles Perkins faced cross examination over an alleged assault on September 4. Thornton testified Perkins sprang from behind a fence and attacked him after alighting a bus at Albion. Perkins claimed Thornton provoked remarks and retaliation followed. The court found Perkins assaulted Thornton, dismissed Thornton’s case, and fined Perkins £2 with costs.
