The Victorian Amateur Athletic Association opens the inter club track premiership tomorrow with 96 teams in eight grades at Olympic Park. St Mark’s Club has fielded strong lines across three grades, with many first time runners and a note of tougher competition ahead.

The Deer Park guild met on Tuesday with lighter attendance but a pleasant session. Mrs Lyons gave a homely talk and an elaborate afternoon tea. The novelty night was postponed to early December to avoid conflicting with the syllabus. The next meeting at Mrs Spratling's will be on Wednesday due to the Tuesday holiday.
