Sunshine club kept premiership pride with careful management
The Sunshine Football Club's triumph sparked a debate on how to honor the win. An oversubscribed 500 shilling appreciation fund funded tokens for all workers, while the committee led by E. Naylor faced financial strains and debates over a weekend trip for players. Some players pressed managers for more perks, prompting resignations talks as the club defended prudent, debt-free operations and urged unity.
