The council estimates total receipts of £170 007 with a credit balance of £4 241. Expenditure totals £74 428 and running costs use £45 159 leaving £26 811 for road works and £2 278 for bus routes. Main expenses include administration £9 196 and health services £13 810. Final valuation figures are not yet ready.
Braybrook Council plans to revise street stall policy after concerns about open food sales. Dr R Barclaid notes stalls aid charity but must meet shop regulations. Scouts cake stall set for November 26 and Methodist stall for December 2 and 9. A report from the Inspector will guide policy after Christmas.
The Council for Adult Education plans to extend its activities to Sunshine next year. It hopes psychology and music appreciation classes will be offered, with a ten week psychology course starting on a Wednesday in April, and music appreciation classes likely beginning in August.

Basketball teams reach final four with semi finals between Nov 24 and Dec 8. W.W.E.B.A. trophies awarded for Best and Fairest in each grade. Footscray and District Hospital progress visible next Sunday with tours 3 to 5 pm.
Ex heavyweight champion Jack Johnson disrupted Braybrook Council proceedings in Monash Street drain complaints and a gum tree nuisance on Martin Street. Johnson. shouted about action, then left as councillors ordered an inspector team and engineer to report. Dr Hayden warned the trees posed a menace and suggested ornamental replacement.
Braybrook Council received letters from residents in Suffolk Road Blackmore Street and Ballarat Road complaining about drainage and facilities. Dr Dobson proposed listing urgent works to be financed by loan. The Shire Engineer noted little could be done until the Anderson Road scheme proceeds with completed plans and February tenders.
Braybrook Council health inspector says unsatisfactory farm conditions in Albion McLean Street could be corrected by reducing birds. The site is a half acre with 300 birds. numbers should not exceed eighty. Councillors were appalled by earlier report findings.

Dr Hayden told Braybrook Council that the P.M.G. depot in Sydney Street was unsightly and “just a dump.” Dr Barclay supported the view, noting poor conditions and the belief the land would be used for a Post Office after purchase.
On Monday Braybrook Council received two petitions. Dr G. Dobson presented for East Maidstone Progress Association highlighting Maidstone Housing scheme concerns. Dr Hayden presented for fifteen ratepayers criticizing conditions in the Gertrude Martin Survante Streets and Devonshire Road area due to torrential rains and Stony Creek overflow. Both petitions will be discussed at the Public Works Committee meeting next Monday.
The Braybrook Council adopts the committee’s recommendation to appoint a non returning soldier as hall keeper. Dr. Barclay had opposed after learning the ex service applicant lacked Australian entitlement but still voted against. Dr. Lynch echoed moral and legal obligations, yet both lost as the committee’s recommendation is approved.
A group of men caught playing two-up in a paddock off Wright Street, Sunshine, on Sunday afternoon October 30 faced Sunshine Court. One defendant appeared and was fined £1 while eleven others were fined £2 each after Gaming Police involvement.
