Sunshine branch Women’s Annual Meeting at Shire Hall
The Sunshine branch of the W A held its annual meeting at Shire Hall with good attendance. Mrs Hayden chaired the election of officers for the coming year. Re-elected were President Mrs Mollison, Secretary Mrs Garner, Treasurer Mrs Duncan, with vice presidents Mesdames Wemyss Smith Stevens and Carlton. New roles include magazine secretary Mrs Biesse and tea hostesses Mesdames Clinnick and Warnock. Committee members elected were Mesdames McNabb Burnett Alderson Wood Burbeck. Gifts of hand made baskets from Mrs Wemyss were presented to outgoing and incoming officers. An afternoon tea followed. A social afternoon is planned for Wednesday Nov 23 at 2:30 in the Shire Hall supper room with health-exercise demonstration by Mrs Thompson of Ballarat, visitors welcome. bring afternoon tea. visitors pay 1/-.

A Sunshine benefit concert raised funds for the widow and children of the late E J Edwards RAAF. Organizer Syd Green led the event with performances from the Northcote Harmonica Society the Sper School of Dancing and the Victoria Banjo Club. Dedication of Extension to Methodist Parsonage
On Saturday Isc. b the sen extensions to the parsonage were dedicated by the Rev. Calvert Barber who unveiled the tablet to the memory of Tate Samuel and Emily Thompson placed in the lobby. After dedication the parsonage was open for inspection and the company adjourned for afternoon tea at the Church Hall.
