Wedding Bells for Clough and Bell at Presbyterian Church

Frank Clough of Derby Road and Florence E. Bell of Sydney Street married at the Presbyterian Church in a ceremony marked by graceful attire and vivid color. The bride wore magnolia satin with a magnolia veil, bridesmaids wore cyclamen and purple, while George Freeman served as best man and ushers assisted. The reception at the Masonic Hall followed with music by Mrs. O Eliason and a solo by George Hall. Reverend W. Evans officiated.

Man charged with drinking methylated spirits at Sunshine Court

Bertram McLean of no fixed abode faced magistrates after being found intoxicated on Ballarat Road with a bottle of methylated spirits. He admitted drinking "White Lady" and pleaded for release to leave town, but was sentenced to 14 days in prison. A Scots Fair opens in Presbyterian Hall tomorrow at 3 PM.

Footscray and District Out-Patients Centre Opens

The Footscray and District Out-Patients and Welfare Centre began reception of patients on Monday under Dr Ian McNeill. Sunshine residents are urged to use the clinic in Eleanor Street with hours Monday 10 am Wednesday 10 am and 2 pm Friday 2 pm. Public hospitals have not yet referred patients but are expected within two weeks.
