Poison Water Allegation Over Creek Near Deer Park Hotel
A drover accused Kororoit Creek water near the Deer Park Hotel of poisoning 20 of 1000 sheep. Inspector Thorpe sampled water and sent it to State Laboratories. tests found no cyanogen. Imperial Chemical Industries said factory effluent was tested daily and not cyanide. Dr Dedrick stated no danger to swimmers or club members.

Sunshine Girls Injured in Morning Car Crash

Among the injured is Miss Lilian Kitchen aged 20 with a compound leg fracture and bruises. her condition improved to no longer be in danger. The second accident involved Miss Thelma Kronk 22 and driver Jack Kruegar 23 near Footscray, with Kruegar concussed and Kronk treated for facial lacerations and abrasions and sent home.
