The Sunshine branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union held a May meeting in the Presbyterian Church Hall with Mrs. Cawood in the chair. The marriage of Nora Florence Hill to John James Holt took place at St Mark's Church of England in Sunshine on May 24. Rev. R F Adams officiated with Elsie Noble as bridesmaid and Roy Lillie as best man. The couple plans a Tasmania honeymoon after a reception at the bride's home attended by about 30 guests.

Sin My attention has been drawn to your correspondent's claim to Fire Insurance Reductions. Having been the person to institute the first steps taken to provide a building together with washing facilities electric light telephone with assistance from Keilor Shire Council Dr. Davis and M F Brigade I now desire to thank the few volunteers who assisted to erect the building and in addition to those citizens others who are now linked up to form the Brigade all of whom are volunteers and thus make it all practical. Lest we forget.
