Dr Frank Hayden told Hraybrook Council of Derrimut native chief who warned colonists in October 1835 saving Fawkner Lancey Evans Henry Batman and families from a planned massacre. A memorial stone marks the grave. Derrimut died May 28 1864 aged 54. The council weighed a new Shire name as city status looms.
