Big Drainage Scheme Approved by Braybrook Council

Braybrook Council's Public Works Committee approved a large drainage project to divert water from Stoney Creek along Anderson Road into Kororoit Creek. The £600,000 scheme ties to an underground drain to run Stoney Creek to the railway line between Sunshine and Tottenham stations. Some fear increased flood risk, but Board of Works engineers say risk is minimal. Dr Parson, a Kororoit Creek resident, calls for an indemnity against flood damage.
