Soldier Faces Three Charges At Sunshine Court
Allan Peter Woolf a Sydney listed soldier faced three charges from a General Sessions Melbourne incident on 1 April. The charges include unlawful possession of a pistol and explosives breaking and entering the Booking Office at Albion Station stealing a bicycle and a suitcase valued £1 and breaking into a storeroom at Albion Station stealing an adze valued 10 shillings. He pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody. Police testified finding a .24 calibre pistol at the booking office and a case containing gelignite and detonators near Albion Station. Woolf claimed the pistol was for protection and admitted to thefts to obtain cash after being AWL from the Army. Bail was not granted.
