Free Library Idea Debated for Sunshine Shire
The Sunshine region weighs a free library and a junior library model. At a South Melbourne conference councillors favor a free library with options for a separate junior unit either attached to schools or as an independent, informal child friendly space. Mrs. Carbines of Hawthorn Free Library will speak at 4 p.m. on April 6 at the Shire Hall, with an open invitation to the public. The event, sponsored by the Child Care Committee, is part of the adult education series.
