Monorail Crash Injures 27 at Seattle Center
The Red Train of Seattle's showcase monorail hit a steel barrier at 20 mph during its last run at the Civic Center Station. Twenty seven of forty aboard were injured, four with cuts, and the cause and braking failure remain unknown. Witnesses described a dramatic, uncontrolled stop.
