Dinoflagellate suspected in Trent River fish kill
Staff reports say a large fish kill in the Trent River at River Bend may be caused by killer dinoflagellate. Tens of thousands of menhaden floated trapped on Saturday as Neuse River Keeper Rick Dove described the brownish red, foamy water. Dove collected samples for NC State University to test the dinoflagellate theory.
