New Bern Havelock Events Highlight Food Health and GIs
A busy week features the 30th Havelock Chili Festival and Big Boy Toy Show in Havelock Friday and Saturday, plus the Neuse River Bridge Run Be Active Be Healthy Expo in New Bern. The half marathon crosses three bridges and townships with 5K 10K and SK walk options, Friday night SuperKids Fun Run, and post race celebration. Proceeds support eight local charities including MECI Clinic Promise Place and Twin Rivers YMCA. Race events run 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center, with a Be Active Be Healthy Expo and pasta dinner inside.
