New Bern man charged after high speed chase
Michael Lee Roberts of New Bern was charged with breaking and entering larceny of a motor vehicle and property damage after a stolen work truck led deputies from Carteret to Craven County. He faced additional Carteret charges including felonious breaking and entering and weapons. Bond set at $18000. Roberts detained after stop sticks disabled the vehicle near Blades Road. Drug abuse cited as contributing factor in related cases.
