Elon Falls to North Carolina in Meanful Duke Game
Elon guard Marcus Sheffield sparked a rare post dunk scream as the Phoenix pressed fifth-ranked UNC at the Smith Center. Despite a halftime lead and persistent effort, Elon faded to a 75-61 defeat as Roy Williams’s Tar Heels held firm and coach Mike Schrage praised his players for embracing crowded moments.
